Educational Philosophy

Montessori was clear that real education occurs when children are in an environment that satisfies innate human tendencies.  Children need to be with others, use their imaginations, creatively problem solve, invent and share their ideas.  Montessori also describes how all humans have a internal directive, guiding them in their activities.  By providing the perfect environment for this process, meaningful projects that speak to these natural drives, naturally evolve.  Provided with skills, support and guidance  children can overcome obstacles and take these projects to the next level.
